Lisa Marie Isenberg
Lisa Marie has been involved in dance for 45 years. A Freeport graduate, she attended Point Park College on a dance/academic scholarship before transferring and graduating from IUP with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and minor in dance. She is a member of Dance Master's of Pennsylvania and Dance Master's of America, an organization that requires its members to be tested in each subject they teach achieving a minimum score of 85% in each discipline for certification. Lisa continues her education through workshops, seminars, and conventions taught by professionals from across the USA. She is a member of Professional Dance Teachers Assoc., Freeport Area Business Assoc., and the Allegheny Valley Chamber of Commerce. Lisa Marie has choreographed for musicals, show choirs, band fronts, and even Brownie/Girl Scout Troops in Freeport and the surrounding areas. Lisa is involved as an independent counselor for families of cranio-facially handicapped children. Together with her dance family she has raised over $2,000 for Wide Smiles though the addition of her Christmas Extravaganza. Lisa is a 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Doo. She and her husband Robert reside in Freeport with their children Asti and Alex.
Meredyth Casey Smaretsky
Meredyth started her dance life at age 3 with Dance Masters of America past president Lee Gararrd. There she studied tap, ballet, jazz, cecchetti, pointe, acro and lyrical. Meredyth competed with solos, duets, and groups and won overall awards in the tri-state area. She was a finalist 2 years in a row for Teen Miss Dance of Pennsylvania and competed in the Miss Butler County pageant. Meredyth joined Lisa Marie's in 2003. Since being at Lisa Marie's she has won numerous awards for choreography and group presentation in the Tri-State area for competitive dance. Last year she traveled to New Orleans to see Christine Marty compete in Junior Miss nationals with a solo Meredyth choreographed. She feels blessed to be in the Lisa Marie family and thanks Lisa for her mentorship. Meredyth also teaches at Point Park College for their community classes and holds private lessons and workshops in the Pittsburgh area. Meredyth is an alumni of Slippery Rock University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance in 2003. While attending SRU, she participated in the SRU Dance Theatre Winter Concerts for all four years and also choreographed for two of those years. Meredyth also danced in and choreographed for the Fall concert and site specific works and was captain of the SRU Dance Express Team. While at SRU, Meredyth had the privilege of dancing for Doug Elkins and performed his piece at the American Dance Festival in Maryland. Meredyth joined the contemporary modern company Labco in 2003. Since then she has worked with such choreographers as: Kyle Abraham, Jose Bustamante, Miguel Gutierrez, Jennifer Keller, Andre Koslowski, Ursula Payne, Gwen Hunter Ritchie, Kevin Wynn and Pavel Zustiak. She has been the Dance Director for the Slippery Rock Arts Academy for the past 6 years and has recently received her Dance Masters of America full certification in ballet, jazz, and tap at the University of Buffalo Center of the Arts.
