Meredyth is a 2003 graduate of Slippery Rock University and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. During her four years at SRU, she was in countless dance pieces and worked with different professional choreographers from Pittsburgh and New York.
Meredyth choreographed for the Slippery Rock University Dance Theater, and she was a captain and choreographed for the SRU dance team. Prior to her college career, she trained under Dance Masters of America President, Lee Garrard, where she studied disciplines such as tap, ballet, jazz, cecchetti, lyrical, and acro. She was on several competitive teams and performed solos as well as duets. They then competed and won numerous awards across the Tri-State area.
Meredyth joined the Lisa Marie's School of Dance family 14 years ago! Meredyth has received numerous choreography, entertainment and overall awards for her competitive dances at Lisa Marie's School of Dance, and she is excited for everyone to see the diversity of choreography in the 2017 season!
Meredyth was also a professional dancer for 6 years with the dance company Labco, and she taught community classes at Point Park University for 7 years. She was the Director of Dance for The Slippery Rock University Arts Academy for 9 years, and has subbed for the SRU Dance Department as well.
Meredyth has her full Dance Masters of America certification in tap, ballet, and jazz, and she will be starting her Yoga certification this summer. She continues to learn about dance by participating in workshops throughout the year, always trying to stay on top of the trends and giving her students the best quality of movement education.
Chelsea is a former dancer and twirler at Lisa Marie's School of Dance. She graduated from Knoch High School in 2013, spending her high school years as a majorette.
Chelsea was captain of the majorette squad in her senior year of high school. She graduated from Butler County Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Photography. Chelsea plans to open her own photography studio in the near future.
Chelsea has worked with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, taking photographs of multiple events that help raise money for the foundation. She plans to continue her work with them throughout her career.

Lisa Marie is the proud owner of Lisa Marie’s School of Dance, Inc entering its 36 season! Lisa Marie attended Point Park College on scholarship before transferring to IUP and graduating with a B.S. in elementary education with a minor in dance. Her success is not only measured by the longevity and growth of her school, but also by the awards that her students and teachers have received. She personally has received several awards in choreography, high points, entertainment, most energetic, sportsmanship and overall awards for solos, duets and groups.
Lisa continues her education through professional workshops, conventions, seminars, master classes and trips to NYC and LA. As a member of Professional Dance Teachers Association, Dance Masters and Strongland Chamber of Commerce, she has choreographed for high school musicals, band fronts, show choirs, brownie troops and weddings. Her students also provide entertainment for community events, churches and assisted living centers.
Laura Scherba became an instructor at Lisa Marie’s School of Dance in 2012. As a former competitive dancer at Lisa Marie's School of Dance, she studied tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, pointe, hip-hop, and river dance.
Laura is a 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock University where she majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and minored in dance. While attending SRU, Laura participated in the jazz / tap ensemble, Slippery Rock University Dance Theatre, and the SRU Dance Express Team.
In 2015, Laura earned her Master of Education Degree from Slippery Rock University to become a certified reading specialist and instructional coach. Laura is currently a second-grade teacher at Buffalo Elementary in Freeport Area School District.
